Nailympics is a competition for the creativity and artistry of nail art. The Nailympics have taken place for the last seven years and in Sept, 2011 was part of the Olympia Beauty Show at London's Earls Court.
أولمبياد الأظافر هي مسابقة للتنافس على الإبداع والتفنن في تزيين الأظافر. وقد أقيمت هذه المسابقة على مدى السنوات السبع الماضية. وفي سبتمبر (أيلول) 2011 أقيمت كجزء من معرض أوليمبيا للجمال في إيرلز كورت في لندن.
The History of Nail Polish
The Incas decorated their fingernails with pictures of eagles, but it is unclear how the practice of coloring nails progressed following these beginnings. Portraits from the 17th and 18th centuries include shiny nails.
By the turn of the 19th century, nails were tinted with scented red oils, and polished or buffed with a chamois cloth. English and US cookbooks of the 19th century had directions for making nail paints. When automobile paint was created around 1920, it inspired the introduction of colored nail glosses. Nowadays not just nail polish is available but many other related products including fake nails, ground coats, top coats, stencils, decorations, glitter, frosting, and so on.
تاريخ طلاء الأظافر
يعتقد أن نساء الأنكا زينت أظافرهن بصور النسور ولكن ليس معروفاً بالضبط كيف تتطور تلوين الأظافر بعد هذه البدايات. ولكن يظهر من لوحات القرنين 17 و 18 أنهم كانوا يلمعون الأظافر.
ومع بداية القرن 19 كانت الأظافر تلون بالزيوت الحمراء المعطرة وتصقل بقطعة من قماش الشامواه. وظهرت وصفات لصنع صباغات الأظافر في كتب الطبخ الانكليزية و الأمريكية قي القرن 19. في عام 1920 ألهم استخدام طلاء السيارات اللامع إدخال فكرة الأظافر اللامعة الملونة. وفي الوقت الحاضر تطورت الأفكار لتشمل منتجات جديدة للأظافر والعناية بها مثل الأظافر الصناعية وطلاء الأساس والطلاء العلوي ورسومات النسخ وأدوات أخرى للزينة واللمعان والبرق وهلم جرا.
