After our investigation we had to conclude that you had right. There was a difference in the calculation of the multiplier for the Coach World Ranking and the Club World Ranking. Last night we repaired this mistake in the calculation and since this morning there is no difference between both rankings.
I would like to thank you very, very much for your attention and vigilance.
In your mail you made another remark regarding the DCS of Saudi Arabia being lower than the DCS of Japan.
As explained in the FAQ, the DCS is based on the Confederation Country Coefficient Rankings. This ranking is based on the performance of clubs in international cup tournaments over the last 5 years. The ranking is calculated each year, on 15th of July for UEFA and on February 15th for AFC and the other confederations.
I can inform you that in the next Confederation Country Coefficient Rankings, which is based on 2008/2009/2010/2011/2012 match results, Saudi Arabia will jump over Japan. In the new ranking, which will be used in the calculations as of February 15th 2013, the strong performance of Saudi Arabian clubs in the AFC Champions leagues over the last 3 years is very well expressed. By consequence Saudi Arabian clubs will also earn considerably more points for both the club as the coach ranking in their domestic competition matches.
Mr Ahmed Ali, again, thank you very much for your critical feedback that has been highly appreciated.
Yours sincerely,
Frank Verweijen
