This vast network of swamps and rivers spread over an area (62 miles) to the north of La Fortuna near town of Chile Angeles. This shelter is the best place known of it's richness of birds, including the Jabiru storks, herons, egrets, and you can also see caimans and crocodiles. Bird watchers should not miss this shelter, you should keep in mind that it dries up in the dry season (mid- April to November ), which reduces the number of birds.
