Explicit: "اذ قال الفقهاء يجب على الرجل نفقة زوجته الى اخر المجلس والله تعالى اعلم بالصواب واليه المرجع والمآب الحمد لله على التمام م"
Colophon: "Scribal," triangular, reads "قد وقع الفراغ من تسويد هذه النسخة في وقت بعد العصر من يوم السبت في يد عمر ابن الحاجي محمد غفر الله له ولي والدي [كذا] واحسن اليهما في بلد طوقات مدرسۀ پروان بك ١١٣٤"
Collation: V-1 (9), 19 V(199), V+1 (210), 11 V(320), II+1 (325) ; chiefly quinions ; catchwords present ; foliation in red and blue ink, Hindu-Arabic numerals ; pagination in pencil, Western numerals, supplied during digitization (includes inserts carrying notes, skips two pages each between pp.45-46 and pp.247-248, and drops ten pages following p.545 with p.536).
Layout: Written in 23 (opening through p.318) and 19 (p.319 to close) lines per page.
Script: Naskh ; at least two clear Turkish hands ; opening hand (through p.318) rather cramped, partially but irregularly seriffed with rightward blob serifs on some ascenders, marked effect of tilt to the left, curvlinear descenders, occasional effect of words descending to baseline or of superscripting, pointing in strokes or conjoined dots rather than distinct dots ; from about p.299 to close, another fine Turkish hand, less cramped, partially though irregularly seriffed with effect of tilt to the left, elongation of horizontal strokes, curvlinear descenders, some free assimilation of letters.
Decoration: Keywords, section headings and some abbreviation symbols rubricated ; overlining in red ink ; written area of pp.25-30, 39-43, and 55 surrounded by red rule-border.
Support: European laid paper of several types ; opening type with 7 laid lines per cm. (vertical), chain lines spaced 28 mm. apart (horizontal), and crown with some motif above watermark (see p.6, 12, etc.), well-burnished to glossy, thin and fairly transluscent though sturdy ; another type with 11-12 laid lines per cm. (vertical), chain lines spaced 24 mm. apart (horizontal), three hats watermark (see p.44, etc.) and "V d" under trefoil countermark (see p.44) ; another type with 10 laid lines per cm. (vertical), chain lines spaced 22-25 mm. apart (horizontal), and coat of arms with cross flanked by lions above circles watermark ( see p.246, 250, etc.) ; another type with 9-10 laid lines per cm. (vertical), chain lines spaced 22-24 mm. apart (horizontal), and circles ("E C" [?] in mid) with crescent and cross above (see p.286, 292, etc.) ; still another type with 13 laid lines per cm. (vertical), chain lines spaced 19-22 mm. apart (horizontal), name in cartouche with crown and grapes (raisin) watermark (see p.390, 391, etc.).
Binding: Pasteboards now covered in shell marbled paper (mainly in blue, orange and pink) with black leather over spine and traces of brown leather at board edges (mainly lower cover) and fore edge flap ; Type II binding (with flap) ; upper board lining in untinted laid paper, lower board lining in pink-tinted paper ; traces of stamped mandorla in lower board (beneath paper) ; sewn in beige [?] thread, four stations ; worked chevron endbands in pink, light yellow and light blue, tailband in good condition, only pink and light blue threads with exposed core remain of headband ; overall in poor condition with significant staining and abrasion, lifting and losses of paper and leather, delamination and splitting of boards, etc.
