After nine of ten years, the Asian club ranking for the first decade of the 21st century are topped by FK Pakhtakor Tashkent (Uzbekistan), 12 resp. 21 points ahead of the Saudi clubs Al-Ittihad Club Jeddah and Al-Hilal Riyadh. The three are followed at some distance by the Japanese and South Korean top clubs FC Gamba Osaka, Seongnam Ilhwa Chunma FC, Kashima Antlers FC (Ibaraki) as well as FM Sepahan Isfahan (Iran), Al-Ain SCC (UAE), and Suwon Samsung Bluewings FC (Republic of Korea), all of which are 31 points within each other.

ان باختكور الاوزبكي كان متصدرا و الاتحاد ثم الهلال من المملكة ثانيا و ثالثا

Thanks to the early elimination of Pakhtakor FK Tashkent and Al-Ittihad Jeddah from the national Cups of their respective countries and from the AFC Champions League in 2010, Al-Hilal Riyadh advanced from third place to top the ranking. Because of the mentioned low point differences - there was in the last year of the 1st Decade additional changes of position among the "Top 10" and even extremely much in the total Asian club ranking. Among the "Top 10" are each two clubs from Saudi Arabia, Japan and the Republic of Korea.
